This notice explains what information we collect, why we use it and your rights.
Who we are

Website: pmddnorthwest.co.uk
Information we may collect
Depending upon how you interact with us, we may collect information including your:
Why we use your information
We may use personal information to:
Our lawful basis
The lawful basis we rely upon will depend on why information is being used.
This may include processing necessary to perform our contract with you, compliance with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests in operating and safeguarding our service, or your consent where appropriate.
Where we process special-category information, such as information about health, we will also identify an appropriate condition under UK data-protection law.
Payment information
Membership payments are processed through Stripe.
PMDD Northwest does not need to receive your complete card details simply to administer your membership. Payment providers process payment information under their own security and privacy arrangements.
If you choose to join a PMDD Northwest WhatsApp community, other participants may be able to see your telephone number and other profile information depending on your WhatsApp privacy settings.
Joining the WhatsApp community is optional.
Sharing information
We do not sell members’ personal information.
We may share information with organisations that provide services on our behalf, such as payment, website, communications or IT providers.
Information may also be shared where necessary to comply with law or respond appropriately to a safeguarding concern or serious risk of harm.
Where information is shared for advocacy purposes, we will normally discuss this with you first unless there is another lawful reason requiring or permitting disclosure.
International processing
Some technology providers we use may process information outside the UK.
Where this occurs, we will take appropriate steps required by UK data-protection law in relation to international transfers.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet applicable legal, safeguarding, insurance and financial record-keeping requirements.
Your rights
Depending upon the circumstances and lawful basis being used, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including rights to request access to it, correct inaccurate information, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing and obtain certain information in a portable format.
Where processing relies upon consent, you may withdraw that consent.
You can contact us at support@pmddnorthwest.co.uk regarding your personal information.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) about the way your personal information has been handled. The ICO specifically requires UK organisations to make people aware of this right in their privacy information.

Changes to this notice
We may update this Privacy Notice as PMDD Northwest develops its services. The latest version will be available through our website.
Last updated: September 2026
PMDD Northwest exists to provide a safe, compassionate and informed community for people affected by PMDD.
It is important that everyone using our services understands the scope and limitations of the support we provide.
What we provide
Depending upon the activity or membership, PMDD Northwest may provide:
What we do not provide
PMDD Northwest is not a medical, psychiatric or emergency service.
Unless expressly stated otherwise for a particular service, we do not provide medical diagnosis, prescribe medication or provide medical treatment.
Information discussed within our community, sessions, workshops or online spaces is intended for information and support and should not replace advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
Members should consult their GP or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional regarding diagnosis, medication, treatment or changes to their healthcare.
PMDD and crisis situations
We recognise that PMDD can involve severe psychological distress and, for some people, suicidal thoughts or feelings.
PMDD Northwest is not a 24-hour crisis service and cannot provide emergency monitoring or intervention.
If you believe that you or another person is in immediate danger, call 999 or attend A&E.
People requiring urgent mental-health assistance should contact the appropriate NHS urgent mental-health service or NHS 111.
Safeguarding
The wellbeing and safety of our community are important to us.
We aim to respect confidentiality. However, there are circumstances where information may need to be shared.
If we have a safeguarding concern or reasonably believe that a child or adult may be at serious risk of harm, PMDD Northwest may share relevant information with appropriate safeguarding, healthcare or emergency services where this is necessary and lawful.
Our actions will be guided by our safeguarding procedures.
Group confidentiality
Peer support relies upon trust.
Members are therefore expected to respect the privacy of other participants.
Personal stories, identifying information, screenshots, photographs, recordings or messages belonging to another member should not be shared outside the group without that person’s permission, except where disclosure is necessary because of an immediate safety or safeguarding concern.
WhatsApp and online communities
Members choosing to participate in a WhatsApp group should understand that other group members will ordinarily be able to see information associated with their WhatsApp account, which may include their telephone number, profile name and profile image depending upon their own settings.
Participation in the WhatsApp community is optional.
Members must not use another member’s contact information for unsolicited contact, marketing or any purpose unrelated to the PMDD Northwest community.
Wellbeing activities
PMDD Northwest may work with external practitioners to provide activities such as meditation, yoga, sound healing or other wellbeing sessions.
Participants remain responsible for deciding whether an activity is suitable for them and should tell the practitioner about relevant needs where appropriate.
These activities are complementary wellbeing activities and are not substitutes for medical or psychological treatment.
Respect and boundaries
Members are expected to treat each other with dignity and respect.
Discrimination, harassment, bullying, threatening behaviour or deliberate breaches of another member’s confidentiality will not be accepted.
We reserve the right to intervene, restrict access or remove someone from a service where this is reasonably necessary to protect other members, staff or volunteers.
Agreement
By participating in PMDD Northwest services, you acknowledge that you understand the nature and limitations of the support provided.

These Membership Terms & Conditions apply to memberships provided by PMDD Northwest CIC (“PMDD Northwest”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By purchasing a membership, you agree to these terms.
Our memberships
PMDD Northwest provides membership-based support for people affected by Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD).
Our current membership options include:
PMDD Northwest Connect – £12.99 per month

PMDD Northwest Complete – £26.99 per month

The exact programme may change from month to month depending on venue, practitioner and service availability.
Monthly subscription
Membership operates as a recurring monthly subscription.
The membership fee shown when you subscribe will normally be charged automatically each month using your chosen payment method until you cancel.
There is no minimum membership period unless clearly stated before purchase.
Cancelling your membership
You may cancel your membership through the online customer portal.
Cancellation will normally take effect at the end of your current paid billing period. You will continue to have access to your membership benefits until that date.
No further monthly membership payments will then be taken.
This does not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.
Cooling-off/cancellation rights
Where applicable, UK consumers entering into a contract online generally have statutory cancellation rights. The Consumer Contracts Regulations contain a 14-day cancellation period for relevant distance contracts, subject to rules concerning services or digital content that begin during that period.
Where you ask us to begin providing membership services during an applicable cancellation period, your statutory rights may be affected depending on the nature of the service supplied and the circumstances.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
Sessions and events
Membership gives you access to the activities included within your membership tier but does not guarantee a place at every session or event.
Some activities may have limited capacity and require advance booking.
Occasionally sessions may need to be rescheduled, changed or cancelled because of circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Free introductory session
Where offered, prospective members may attend one eligible introductory PMDD Northwest peer-support session free of charge before deciding whether to join.
The free session does not create an ongoing entitlement to membership services.
Membership use
Membership is personal to the individual who purchases it and should not be shared with another person.
Members are expected to behave respectfully towards other members, staff, volunteers and practitioners.
PMDD Northwest may suspend or terminate access where behaviour presents a safeguarding concern or is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, seriously disruptive or compromises the safety or confidentiality of others.
Refunds
Membership payments are generally non-refundable once the relevant membership period has begun, except where required by law or where PMDD Northwest CIC agrees that a refund is appropriate.
Nothing in this policy removes or restricts your statutory consumer rights.
Changes to membership
We may occasionally make reasonable changes to membership activities or benefits.
Where we make a significant change to a paid membership or its price, we will aim to give members reasonable notice.
